Amanda Belfiore is from Staten Island, NY, but grew up in Colts Neck, NJ. She received her BFA in fine arts as a Dance major from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. While always having one foot onstage and the other in the gym, she found the sport of bodybuilding and started competing in muscle competitions in 2013. After college she competed in pole and aerial fitness as well as recreational & competitive dance. In 2019 she opened up her own beauty studio for lash extensions, makeup, and permanent cosmetics.
She discovered the Lagree Method early 2024, and after one class she was hooked. She loves Lagree because it’s the perfect mix of high intensity, low impact bodybuilding and mental strength to complete a workout. You have to really activate the mind-muscle connection to push your limits physically. Her favorite move is the Mega Catfish.
A fun fact about Amanda is that she loves an adrenaline rush from a rollercoaster and she has a custom pink tie-dye bowling ball that smells like cake with her name engraved on it. Amanda’s favorite movie is Finding Nemo and she has three French bulldogs.
Amanda Arrowsmith is originally from Brighton, Michigan, Amanda now resides in Asbury Park, New Jersey! She found her passion for weight lifting in college as an ex-lacrosse & field hockey player. While attending college she studied for her Personal Training and Nutrition certifications to further educate herself, and has been weight lifting since. Amanda found her love for coaching and training others through being a high school girls lacrosse coach in Michigan.
Since moving to New Jersey, Amanda has felt the itch to fulfill her passion for coaching and helping others to become the best version of themselves again which has led Amanda to Lagree! Amanda’s favorite aspect of Lagree is that it is low impact, high intensity and is such an effective workout which only takes 45 minutes of your day! The Lagree method challenges every client no matter how athletic you are; using and targeting muscles in a unique way that really brings out the SHAKES.
Her favorite Lagree move is the SideKick (iykyk)
Currently Amanda works in the hockey industry and some of her favorite things to do are reading, baking and going to the beach!
Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Kaleen brings her passion for movement and wellness to Power Core Studio. With a background as a yoga instructor, Kaleen has always valued practices that are accessible to everyone, and Lagree is no exception. She loves how Lagree continuously offers new ways to challenge both the body and mind, making every session a unique experience. Her favorite Lagree move is any bear variation, as it really embodies that spirit of constant growth and discovery.
A fun fact about Kaleen is she used to own a juice bar, which was sparked by her love for all things healthy and fresh! When she is not in the studio, you’ll find her experimenting with new vegetarian recipes, always on the hunt for that next delicious dish. Kaleen can’t wait to shake with you!
Nicole was born and raised on the Jersey Shore, she currently calls Asbury Park home. She started her fitness and health journey in her early 20’s, taking as many group classes as she could! She loved trying all kinds of different workouts including pilates, yoga, barre, and spin, but kept searching for a method that would challenge her further. She tried Lagree for the first time in 2022 and was immediately hooked. She knew that she wanted to continue her learning of Lagree and become an instructor! Nicole’s favorite move is either the Wheelbarrow or Cobra! When she’s not instructing or working out she’s usually cooking or playing with her fur-babies.
Jena had practiced yoga on and off for a few years but her fitness journey really began in 2012 after making some life changes. She started working out at home and going to yoga more regularly. She had always thought maybe she would like to teach so when the studio was offering teacher training she signed up. Jena graduated from Freehold Yoga Center with her RYT 200 in 2014 and has been teaching ever since. Her yoga teaching style is rooted in form and alignment which is what she likes about Lagree.
She found Lagree in 2022 through some of her yoga teacher friends. She was hooked instantly – the challenge, the strength and focus that it takes, the effects, she could go on!!. She loves that Lagree pushes the limits both mentally and physically. Her favorite move changes all the time, but she will always love Glute Press. The shakes are real on that one!!
A fun fact about Jena is she’s 40 years old and has never had a cavity! Jena’s been a hairstylist since 2003 and has owned her own salon suite since January of 2021. Aside from yoga and Lagree she also loves to run and lift weights. She is always in the car and loves listening to audiobooks – psychological thrillers are her jam!
Nikki moved from NYC to Atlantic Highlands to live by the beach. She loves fitness and is a certified FiTOUR group fitness instructor, NASM certified Personal Trainer and Level 1 certified Lagree instructor. Nikki loves Lagree because it is the most intense low impact workout out there and loves building classes around gritty hip hop and pop hits.
In her free time, she loves all types of group fitness, from pickleball, to races with friends, to a kickass Lagree workout. A fun fact about Nikki is she loves camping in national parks with her family!
Amie Cazal is originally from Beaverton, Oregon. Her background is as a performer with some dance training. Growing up she didn’t find herself participating in sports because she felt “un-athletic.” However, discovering yoga as a young adult really helped her begin to connect with and have a healthy appreciation for her own body. With that Amie studied to become a Certified Yoga Instructor.
Recently Amie discovered the Lagree Method and she loves it because it challenges both the body and mind. She is grateful to have found Lagree at this point in her life, because she knows how important strength training is as we age. While not a runner, her favorite move is currently the Runner’s Lunge because it makes her feel grounded and strong.
A fun fact about Amie is she has two accordions that she is slowly learning to play. Polka-Lagree class, anyone? Amie also loves to chat about books and what she’s reading. If you’ve read a great book recently, she wants to hear about it!
Katy is originally from the Jersey shore. With a background in nutrition counseling and certification as a personal trainer, Katy has been dedicated to helping others achieve their health goals through fitness. Her approach integrates practical fitness strategies with a deep understanding of nutrition, tailored to individual needs.
Lagree has transformed Katy’s approach to fitness by offering a workout that targets smaller muscles often missed in conventional exercises. The combination of intensity and low impact provides a full-body workout that enhances strength, stability, and flexibility. Plus, with just 45 minutes of Lagree, you feel like a different person—energized and accomplished. Her favorite move is the “Catfish,” a powerhouse for core strength and stability!
A fun fact about Katy is she’s a certified scuba diver and a big foodie who loves both cooking and exploring different types of cuisines. Her favorite place (so far) is Costa Rica—the sunsets and rainforest are otherworldly.
Victoria has lived in Middletown, NJ her entire life. She has always been an athlete between playing soccer and running track. She currently is an NCAA Track and Field athlete at the University of Scranton.
As a runner, she loves being able to have a high intensity workout while giving her joints a break from the pounding on the track! Her favorite move in Lagree is definitely the hamstring curl due to its simplicity although it can still be very challenging!
A fun fact about Victoria is she is a huge math and science nerd! She loves anything in the STEM field and loves learning more and more each day. Her favorite movie is 10 Things I Hate About You!
Tanya is from New York BABY, born and raised in Tribeca, before it was trendy. : ) She fell in love with Zumba and spin in her early 20’s and was spending so much time in group classes that she decided to get certified and began teaching both Zumba and Spin in 2011. During Covid, Tanya started lifting at home but missed being social and decided once the gyms were allowed to open, she would work towards becoming a certified personal trainer and coach so she could help people and eventually make fitness a full time job.
Tanya loves high intensity exercise, but as she gets older she is realizing she needs to be kind to her body and joints which is why she loves Lagree, a super high intense workout with low impact. Tanya has found that it also helped tremendously with her core strength and balance. Her favorite move is the wheelbarrow because no matter what, she immediately starts to sweat, once in it!
A fun fact about Tanya is that she started working on Wall Street when she was 15 and a sophomore in high school and she spent her entire career in corporate America, until April 2024. It was super scary, but she knew she wanted to focus on her true passion of fitness, wellness and helping people be healthy and happy in their own skin. Her favorite movie is Casino and she loves those old mob movies! And her favorite thing to do in her free time is to hang with family and friends, go to the beach and hang by the pool.
Lisa is originally from outside Pittsburgh, PA. She grew up as a competitive figure skater who also danced. A graduate of Penn State, “We are..,” she made her way to the New Jersey-New York area where she worked in sports media/public relations before going back to her passion, ice skating in 2001, and has been working with all levels of skaters from grassroot beginners to adults for over twenty years.
Although being an active participant in fitness and sports throughout her life, after being diagnosed with DCIS, early stage breast cancer and having bilateral mastectomy surgery in 2021, Lisa found herself seeking alternate avenues to recover physically, mentally and emotionally to build her body and mind back. She trained and completed the 2022 and 2023 NYC Marathon and then found Lagree.
Her favorite thing about Lagree is how it is form-based, but is low impact and high intensity. Every class she does, it feels like progression to a better, stronger and healthier self. As an avid yogi, Lisa loves that the Mega Pro carriage feels like her own personal mat. She also loves that there is no end in that you can always move slower and always add or take-away springs for intensity. Her favorite Lagree move is the Catfish because she loves wearing high heels (iykyk).
A fun fact about Lisa is she lived in former Yugoslavia and was introduced to ice skating there when she was 5 years old. In her free time Lisa likes to also paddleboard, read, write and re-fab furniture.
Emily grew up in Neptune, New Jersey. She has been a dancer since she was 4 years old. She practiced Pilates throughout high school and had been an avid gym goer. Lagree has been the only constant for the last 8 years.
Emily has been a certified Lagree instructor since January of 2020. Lagree has been the only form of fitness that Emily has been able to maintain through many injuries and health conditions including arthritis and shoulder and back injuries. She loves that no matter how my body is feeling, how many modifications she needs to take that day, she’s still going to get a kickass workout. Her favorite move is Reverse Giant Kneeling Crunch.
A fun fact about Emily is she was homeschooled from K-12! Her favorite movie is Elf!
Elena grew up dancing in NJ and NY since age 3. She received her B.F.A. in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She continues to pursue a professional career in performing and choreography.
While in college, Elena received her 200 hr yoga certification and found the mat practice to help with injury prevention and low impact strengthening. Along with yoga and dance instruction, Elena also works as a Flexologist at Stretch Lab. Her journey with Lagree is just beginning with PowerCore Studio. She loves the low impact technique as well as the intense endurance, stamina, and strength she has gained since practicing. Each class allows for a unique full body engagement that she has previously only found in her dance practice. Elena looks forward to bringing her prior fitness knowledge to her Lagree classes and encouraging students to challenge themselves.
